A Tale of Seldren Blackbook

Posted by Mindblade16 - May 10th, 2022

“The Reflection of a Game, as a False Accusation.” is a Drift Thought Gem that is used to Power a Sword held by Seldren Blackbook, of the House of Blackbook Clandestine Operations(BCO). The BCO use Thought Gems from the Drift Empire in their Weapons and Tools. Before the Tool or Weapon can be used in accordance with its Gem’s Ability, the Statement of the Thought in the Thought Gem must be spoken by the User.

So, when Seldren Blackbook attacks with his Sillarin Sword, he whispers:

“The Reflection of a Game, as a False Accusation.

At this, the Sword is alive with the Energy of the Thought Gem, can performs movements in the Air that could not possibly have been caused by Human Hands, for the duration of the time it took to speak the words. The song plays, and the player turns off afterwards. There is no loop, It must be spoken again to take effect again. So, in a fight, there are many whispers, and the sword is barely upon the hands of the one using it. It merely keeps close, whilst swashbuckling to the song of motion as inscribed in the Thought Gem.

Seldren Blackbook is a tall man with long black hair, stark white skin, and a black leather cloak with tall strapped leather boots. He has Leather Armguards and Gloves, and black Kevlar Armor in various places. Not that one would know where he was armored. It benefited him that there was no distinction in what was armored and what wasn’t.

He was running swiftly inside a large sewer pipe underneath the City of Lux, and stopped when he heard voices.

He spotted a hiding place and dove into a nearby pipe casing jutting out of the larger wall of the giant sewer pipe he was running through.

It appeared as he was not alone in here. There were two of them, no, three, headed this way.

He peeked quickly around his cover, and then pulled back.

This was not good. Those were Mindblade Soldiers.

Mindblade Soldiers had Expensive Weapons and Training. One would be a life or death challenge, but three? No, there was no chance. He needed to get out of there. He needed to stay quiet, and hidden. Maybe they wouldn’t notice him.
