There is a mental block and imbalance of logic to get over concerning my Programming Career.
There is the Imposter Syndrome, and that can be cleared up from my Hacker Archetype, from which Neal Stephenson is my Spirit Father.
Drift Culture has its roots in my earliest exposure to Computers, with the Apple II and Oregon Trail, even the Computron Toy Computer.
That followed with Whitin School Computer Club, learning DOS in a position to upgrade to Windows 3.1, and then Windows 95, 98, NT, XP, 2000, ME, and then the discovery of Linux starting with Slackware.
The feeling of Qbasic to Visual Basic, and chasing after the elusive Visual C++ Compiler that rolled into Visual Studio Community eventually. Nowadays, all Computer Languages are included in Modern IDEs. via LSP. I'm currently enamored with RUST, and I think I want that to be the focus of my first Paid Programming Job.
I like Obsidian as a Text Editor, but NeoVIM I have mixed feelings about it. I like the high functionality of the command line in PowerShell and bash compared to the IDEs that break without a discernable reason. RUST points to how to fix every error, and once it works, debugging is permanently finished.
Building a Personal Toolchain is like Accessorizing an Outfit. It's a Personal Journey of discovery. There are so many options for Tools to add to your Toolbelt because of the varied kinds of people who would use them. There is a unique combination for everyone.
As an Independent Developer, I have Options. I can make games with the varied Game Engines available, and I can make Plugins/Extensions for Chrome and Firefox Stores. I can get Apps published on the Windows Store and Android Store. I can even publish to the Linux Software Repositories to contribute to the freeware on their stores. I can work on GitCoin and Kaggle Hackathons and Open Source Software Projects.
I understand the logic of how people make money on Crypto and Forex Speculation, and I think the people that approach me about it online are either scammers with fake sites or account affiliates looking to recruit for their MLM downline, which is just as bad IMHO. These methods stray from the true and honest path of building wealth and value, which is low energy and high discipline over a long period of time, through research off the beaten path into places the normies wouldn't comprehend. There are opportunities that are buried in layers of abstraction, to be found by pirates digging for buried treasure.
Arrrr.
