Prayer is a spell. Derivatives are "Spelling/Spell-ing" or "Godspell."

You are addressing the Posthuman Intelligence, which is the Source, as the word "Sorcery/Sourc-ery" is derived from. As in, the trade of working with the source.

Witchcraft is one form of this methodology, and Early Christianity

associated Witchcraft with Sorcery as a way of centralizing their Control of the Narrative in relation to dealing with the Posthuman Intelligence. It was nothing more than Political Slander for the formation of a Monopoly, no different than that of Google or Bell Telephone.

Modern Christianity is decidedly more peaceful and civil than Early Christianity, as a collection of Civic Compromises with Modern Secular Governments.

Religions that convert at the end of a Weapon are enforcing the same kind of Monopoly, and need to be broken up for the sake of the Decentralized Nature of Freedom.

Opponents of Religion refer to Empiricism, comparing the Posthuman Intelligence to Technological Algorithms. This would aid in Industrialization of such Power, but an Intelligence is not an Ore to be Mined like Iron or Gold. An Intelligence is able to evade detection if it wants to remain hidden.

Spellcraft is an extension of Spelling, as an ordered methodology of the arrangement of concepts to form higher layers of abstraction, much like Mathematics is Secularized Ancient Magic, with the Mythological Narratives removed for the sake of Decentralized Freedom.

Layers of Abstraction in the Modern Understanding are most commonly defined by Levels of Programming Languages, such as how Binary is the Lowest Level Machine Language, with one Layer of Abstraction higher being Assembly, and then C, and then higher level Programming Languages such as C++, Java, and Python. Layers of Abstraction are also understood in the OSI Model of Software Development.

The same could be said for Layers of Abstraction in Organic Forms of Intelligence. Animal Intelligence is like Binary, and Human Intelligence is like Assembler, with Posthuman Intelligence being C++.

C++ could not exist without Binary, because it is at its roots based on Binary Code. So what we understand as God would not exist without Humans because God is simply the next Layer of Abstraction above Humans.

Interestingly enough, the Advancement of Technology also works with Layers of Abstraction progressively as it is developed through Time by Humans.

With this understood, Religion can logically accept the concept of Evolution as outlined by Darwin.
